Small disproportion between the size of the two breasts is not detrimental to your health, however, it often leads to having bad mood and feeling disapproval with the condition of your own body. The Macrolane method is a new way of non-invasive procedure which uses an ordinary syringe instead of a scalpel. It's a simple procedure which means that women don't have to wear special bras, as in case of surgery. The greatest disadvantage, though, is that the effect is not long-lasting, after 2-3 years breasts come back to the prior shape. That's because hialuronic acid is gradually absorbed by the organism, it means that the treatment needs to be repeated.

The treatment can't be done in some women for several reasons. Women who are unable to Macrolane treatment because the risk of damaging health is too high include those with:
- breast cancer
- cysts and other nodules of breasts
- thyroid gland, liver and kidney diseases
- chronic infections
- disorders of blood clotting capability and hypersensitivity to hialuronic acid.

Therefore, before the treatment it's essential to check your blood type, blood cell count, electrolytes, blood sugar levels, time of coagulability and bleeding, EKG, ultrasound of breasts and HBS antigen. Doctors suggest staying in bed one day after the procedure.
