Swimming pool and water makes it possible to perform exercises you wouldn't normally be able to do because they usually are problematic and painful. Therefore, aqua aerobics is recommended for people after surgical operations, obese, old, or those suffering from arthritis, osteoporosis, people with diseases of osteoarticular system. This form of exercising is also perfect for pregnant women. People who do aqua aerobics regularly can easily notice changes in strength and endurance of their organism. Moreover, their muscles are stretched, more flexible and strong and above all, aqua aerobic facilitates weight reduction.
Aqua aerobics is a good form of activity as well as an ideal completion of other forms of training. A person who has tried aqua aerobic once will surely come back to this form of training because in the water we feel light. Bodies float without any problem as if someone helped us. It shouldn't surprise anyone that exercising in water is so popular these days, as a matter of fact swimming is widely known for many years and aqua aerobic has been used in rehabilitation for many years.
Aqua aerobic made exercising in water much more attractive for ordinary people. Their popularity has risen due to several factors, water and additional equipment make the exercising safe, effective and available for everyone. It simply gives plenty of pleasure. Not only do we feel safe because our bodies are hidden in the water but also we can work out in the group.
Water - an ally of fitness
It all depends on the person who teaches aqua aerobics and on his or her abilities to take advantage of all properties of water. It has several effects on each body - our organisms react on its temperature, pressure, density and friction. When bodies move, they need to cope with water resistance. When choosing exercises it is important to pay attention to the strength which makes bodies weigh less. A 70kg - person weighs around 6 kg in water. It is the water which makes exercising easier. The activities which relieve the organism from weigh, those which take advantage of water resistance depend on the depth of a draught, body placement and direction of movements. The pressure makes breathing in easy and breathing out more difficult. In such a way we can perform movements which would normally make us tired on land, and above all, the exercises are safe.
Soak in the water
If you want to plan and enroll to aqua aerobics exercising you have to know the difference between ordinary exercising and these in water. Make sure the aqua aerobic instructor is trained, educated and prepared for each class. Not to mention the fact that he/she should know the rules of water safety and lifesaving in the swimming pool.
We can list several types of water exercising which can be recommended to people who visit fitness clubs willingly. Their type depends on conditions we have, the equipment or depth of the swimming pool. Water can be shallow, of medium depth or deep (lack of contact with the bottom of the sea). The type of training varies and depends on water depth and equipment available. For instance, in shallow water we don't need any special equipment, a special choreography is enough. However, in deep water additional equipment is totally crucial.
