Professional skin care involves using appropriate products for your skin type, or specific product lines available in the market. Choose the best products and equipment for your skin to enjoy a perfect radiant skin.

A regular skin care is important not only for hygiene but also for you to feel well, be in a good mood and for disease prevention. The appropriate care depends on the skin type we possess so it's good to know whether we have dry, oily or normal skin. The skin type is conditioned by various aspects e.g. season, (winter makes skin more dry), hormone imbalances and general health condition. It turns out that some people have several skin types even on their face. There are plenty of products of numerous types which are available in the market, you can choose among creams, gels, suspensions, lotions and ointments.
Ointments are very oily and they don't contain water or they have only small amounts. They are perfect for greasing skin, and they leave a layer of grease on face or other area of application.
Creams - these are mixtures of water and grease, there are two types of creams - lotions of water in oil which are greasy and hard to spread on skin and lotions of oil in water which absorb and spread easily. The suspensions of oil, water and powder can be easily applied on skin, they are used to cool and dry the zits. They need to be shaken before use though.
Solutions these are products that constitute of water and alcohol which dissolves many solids, they also dry the skin.
Skin cleansing
Each face washing removes dirt, grease, exfoliated skin tissue and other substances. As a consequence, the skin becomes dry and has got rough surface. Healthy skin is able to make up for the loss of grease quickly and most of the cleaning products contain some greasing substances so there should be no harm to skin. Nevertheless, frequent cleaning can cause skin dryness and scaling.
What to use? Soaps, synthetic detergents or maybe toilet water?
Synthetic detergents look the same as soaps but they contain artificial cleaning substances. They are better than soaps as they have pH appropriate for skin which is 6pH. The soaps though have pH10 which is alkaline reaction.
- for oily skin- use synthetic cleansers as they de-grease skin better than soaps.
- for dry skin - choose soap which contains plenty of greasing substances, e.g. soap for toddlers.
- cleaning substances for babies should not contain too much additional substances such as flavors
- bars of soap are better than liquid soaps as they don't contain preservatives
- cleansing lotions delicately clear the skin as they don't de-grease too much
- dermatologists discourage people from using toilette waters which contain alcohol because they make skin dry in the long run
Dry Skin
Dry skin has a tendency to scale, it is matte and it wrinkles quickly. Dry skin doesn't like long and frequent baths, the hotter the water is the bigger loss for skin. After taking a bath or shower you should apply cream on your skin which will improve your skin condition.
Normal skin
Normal skin is covered with a layer of water and grease which does not demand any special care. Even if you have no problems with skin you should remember that after crossing the magic line of 25 years old your skin will gradually stop producing sebum. That will make your skin becoming dryer and dryer with age.
Oily Skin
In people with this skin type oil glands produce excess amount of oil which leads to enlarging skin pores. The skin shines when there is oil on it. If this oil dries in hair follicles it makes skin appear dry. Of course, people frequently have both oily T- area and dry skin on the cheeks. This happens because products for oily skin have scant amount of grease in them.
