Pets are perfect for depression, they also help remain healthy for a long time. How pets affect our everyday life? It turns out that pet owners are healthier.

How often do you feel great even after a long workday and a quarrel with your boss? Does it happen to you that when you see your dog waging his tail depression fades away? According to psychologists, veterinarians and researchers pets are good for both mental and physical health. Even though a pet can't substitute a therapy or medications it can help soothe moderate depression symptoms. A pet can also provide people with better sleep and better overall health.
A psychologist Teri Wright claims that pets offer psychological and physical comfort for children and adults too. They make everyone feel important and adored. Pets just show their happiness when you come back home, even if it's just a half-hour journey to the shop. Pets love you with unconditional love - something what everyone dreams of.
Dogs can perfectly enhance your mood, when you feel down, they simply lick your face until your mood is better. They behave as though they wanted to tell you're the best. A pet relieves loneliness, for many people pets are the only close friends they have, they stick to them even when their owner withdraws from social life. According to psychologists, people with animals just feel better.
If a person has got a pet, he focuses on other problems such as feeding a dog or cat, he needs to care for the pet and be responsible for him. There's not much time for depression and bad mood. They also boost mood and increase exposure to social contacts. People are more willing to talk to people with animals.
Pets are also able to ease stress and calm down all nervous situations. There were several studies which measured the influence of pets on people's health. In the study in China researchers looked at women ages 25 to 40, half of them owned dogs. It turned out that women with dogs exercise often, sleep better and have better fitness level, they even take less sick leave days. In the research in Australia, it turned out that people with pets interact with neighbors more than those people without pets. Having a dog brings benefits in cardiovascular diseases, pet owners have lower blood pressure and low blood fat levels.
Not everyone is born with love towards pets - if you're not a pet person you won't feel better if possessing a pet. All kinds of pets bring benefits for health, even watching fish in the aquarium can soothe stress and relieve from mental pain.
