Is it safe to exercise in your 70s? Or maybe a sedentary lifestyle is much better? Old people are often afraid that when they move they will do some harm to themselves. It turns out that there are plenty of pluses of senior exercise.

However, specialists claim that people should exercise in every age, simply because seniors can harm themselves more by leading sedentary lifestyle. If you stay inactive your health deteriorates and your body becomes weaker. Physical activity makes you able to do everything you want. Generally speaking, older and younger adults will benefit a lot from increasing physical activity to a moderate level. To stay healthy and be able to remain your capacity you need to do four types of exercises: strength, balance, stretching and endurance. Thank to strength exercises your muscles will be firm and your metabolism will rise. Stretching gives freedom of movement while endurance improves breathing and heart work. Thank to the balance exercises you won't fall often and therefore there's lower risk of breaking a leg or any other body part. There is one thing you should remember about - exercises are meant to bring fun and make you feel better.
