Women with heart problems are more likely to die than men. Heart Problems in Women are more dangerous in men.

After the heart surgery, women are more likely to die, as revealed one study. Although overall death rates fall, more men survive heart surgery than women which makes the gap between male and female survival rates larger. The study has been performed at the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery and researchers analyzed 400,000 surgeries. It turns out that women with cardiac problems do worse than men. This is because female arteries are smaller and it is much more difficult to operate on them. Another reason for such a situation is that people generally believe heart attacks are male problems. The gap is enlarging because more and more men notice a significant improvement. The study includes information from procedures carried across the country and presents which procedures are effective and safe.
