Nice girls do snore, they don't always sleep like angels in white cotton sheets. It may be shocking for some men to discover his girlfriend snores and it is shocking for a woman too.
Even though many women snore like bulldozers, they are unwilling to admit that. The sound coming from this tiny sweet nostrils may even remind of Harley-Davidson or a hippopotamus. Few things can help, breathing aids are ineffective and nasal strips are worn for nothing.
Snoring is caused by a partial blockage in the nose and throat which creates vibrations of the soft palate, tongue and tissue in the nose. The muscles relax during the sleep and they're more prone to vibration - problem gets worse if someone is obese, smokes and drinks alcohol. What may be interesting, snoring is usually inherited, in the same way as blue eyes or brown hair. What is worse, women don't want to seek for help, if they do - usually for fear their partner will get angry.
There are couple things you can do to combat snoring - exercise, avoid alcohol, eat healthy and in more severe cases, have a surgery.
