Homosexuals seek professional mental help twice as often as heterosexuals.

This could support the notion that gay are more neurotic and feeble-minded. Media also show homosexuals as zany, that they contain mental disorder, are narcissistic creatures who think only about their own pleasure. The study, however, did not concentrate on reasons why gays seek professional mental help, it concentrated on numbers. Why do they visit professional doctors more often? There are several simple reasons they do that - they ask for help openly, they have to feel psychological pain of discrimination. Even though gays are said to be accepted in the country, some of them still feel hostile feelings of others.
A study revealed that 48.5 of homosexuals received mental treatment last year, whereas the same help was sought for by only 22.5 percent of heterosexuals. This is simply because homosexuals feel they don't fit in the concept of healthy relationship and their minds start to question themselves. This minority has been deprived of something which is essential for every human - respect.
