Don't drink costly sports drinks, eat a bowl of cereal instead. Scientists discovered that eating cereal is much healthier and better after the workout than drinking sports drinks.

This breakfast snack is better in revitalizing muscles thank to the protein in the milk which reduces the amount of lactate. It is the lactate which makes muscles stiff after the workout. The combination of protein and milk is good for protein synthesis and muscle rebuilding. According to the researchers, the cereal raise levels of insulin that changes sugar into energy and blocks the production of lactate.
