Hair protection becomes much more important during summer holidays when it's exposed to sun and water. Read the article to get to know how to protect your hair from the sun and its color.

Firstly, you swim in a deep ocean and then sunbathe on a beach. You may love summer but your hair not necessarily adores it. Try to make something for your hair to go through the season of UV rays and salted water.
The excess of sun is detrimental to you health, you already know that. That is why you apply suncream on your skin when you're going out. But do you protect your hair? It needs some protection too whereas we tend to forget about that. In the summer, during holidays, your hair is especially exposed to damages and deterioration. UV rays reaching wet hair which contains sea salt droplets or chlorine destroy keratin its basic substance. As a result, hair becomes matte, porous, dry and is more breakable or loose the color if it's dyed. That is why during the summer, they need special care during the summer. This can be ensured by the summer cosmetics that nourish, moisture and regenerate hair. They will make your hair as satisfied with holiday as you are.
1. Before going out
Many hairstylists suggest we invest in special oils and sprays with filters and moisturizing and nourishing substances. Sprinkle them around your hair 30 minutes before going out and apply regularly when lying on a beach.
2. After swimming
When you're swimming in the sea the crystals of salt cover your whole body, including hair. They act like a lens that multiplies the sun's activity. That is why it is essential to rinse hair after getting out of the water, you can do it in a shower on the beach or simply pour some bottled water over your hair.
3. On the beach
Try not to let your hair dry under the sun, if you can stay in shade until hair gets dry. Don't squeeze nor wring it - wet hair are much more susceptible to damages. You should comb hair only after they have slightly dried. Sprinkle them with UV sprays and tie them so as to protect them from the sand, you can wear a hat or a scarf.
4. At home
Just after coming back from the beach you should wash your hair with a special shampoo with UV filters. It's a good idea if it also contains ceramids which complete and strengthen the building material of your hair. Shampoos with plant extracts (e.g. sunflower seeds) have moisturizing effect, whereas those with provitamins - regenerate hair.
5. After washing
Apply a balm or conditioner on washed hair and don't use a hairdryer. Pay much attention to the endings of your hair as salt makes them fragile and split. Try to style your hair simply with the use of products for dry hair.
6. Twice a week
Pamper your hair with an intensive mask regenerating your hair at least twice a week. You will intensify its effect by wrapping hair into the aluminum foil or a towel. You can also try a home-made mask made of eggs, lemon juice and olive oil. Rinse it after 30 minutes and wash your hair.
