You are in: Main Page / Medical articles / Fitness / Safe Weight Loss

Are you obese, in poor condition and your health gets worse and worse? You must go to the gym or a fitness club. This is one of the safest method of losing weight.

If you decided to take up exercising routine before heading to gym you should consult your doctor. Certain diseases such as osteoporosis, blood circulation system problems, asthma or various injuries may disqualify you from exercising. Nevertheless, in case of lack of contraindications against exercising, going to the gym is the best thing you can do. There are several steps you should take:

1. Find a personal trainer - he will create a program of exercising suitable for your age, condition and needs. If your organism adapts to exercising he will add more elements to your gym routine. Personal trainer pays attention and makes sure you breathe properly, perform each exercise in an appropriate way and make breaks between them. He also motivates you to regular visits to the gym.

2. Start with a warm-up - begin each training with cardio exercises to warm up all muscles, don't overload spine and knees.

3. Stretch your muscles - warm up the muscles and stretch them so as to move your joints and improve blood circulation.

4. Move your muscles - the exact training begins, you practise large groups of muscles (chest, back, legs and stomach) and your trainer makes sure you do it right.

5. Relax - use some relaxation techniques and stretch the muscles after the series of strengthening exercises, you can also visit sauna, have a massage or go to jacuzzi. Remember that your muscles need time for regeneration, so the best idea is to practise every other day.

Enjoy your new exercise routine.
