Your health can be described in numbers, that's why it's good to check your body's parameters from time to time and know all the healthy numbers.






Number 25

BMI means Body Mass Index and 25 is the number when overweight starts. Overweight is not only connected with an unattractive look, it has more serious side effects. Overweight is a cause of heart diseases and diabetes. Overweight people have problems with varices, hemorrhoids and joints. To check your BMI you can check it, the formula is: weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared.

Number 30

It is advisable to spend 30 minutes of each day to exercise. It is a minimum if we want to stay in good shape, ensure good condition of joints and blood circulation system and reduce the risk of getting cancers. It can be a walk, bike, climbing on stairs or dancing.

Number 80

Your waist shouldn't be bigger than 80 centimeters. Too wide waist means increased blood pressure and high cholesterol level. In the future it may lead to serious problems with health or type 2 of diabetes.

Numbers 0.7-1

You can loose up to 1 kg weight within the period of one week if we want to loose weight healthily. If we reduce weight faster out heart is overloaded and the metabolism goes wrong. As a consequence of yo-yo effect lost centimeters can reappear within short period of time.

Numbers 120/90

It is a model blood pressure. If it's higher it brings risk to our circulation system. On the other hand if our blood pressure is too low it's also dangerous to our system, it rises and falls which poses a serious risk to our health, especially for heart. If a person has got high blood pressure, one should implement radical changes to his/her eating habits. Remove salt from your diet, use other spices instead. In case of lack of improvement one should consult a doctor.

Number 135

135 mg/dl is a borderline for the amount of so called 'bad' cholesterol LDL which is responsible for creation of blood clots. They cause heart attacks and strokes. A 'good' cholesterol HDL protects blood vessels, it neutralizes the effects of 'bad' cholesterol. The amount of good cholesterol should stay at 40-80 mg/dl and it can be ensured by appropriate eating. Each person should replace animal fats with oils, olive, nuts and fish.

Number 6

You should drink 6 glasses of water every day, it is crucial for proper functioning of the organism. Nutrients get to the tissues with blood thank to water. Water is also crucial for kidneys to clean the organism from toxins.

Number 15

15 minutes a day should be spent on laughing as laughter is the best exercise for the whole organism. Laughter triggers heart to work and oxygenates the whole organism. It increases the amount of endorphine which improves our mood, they also help in finding relief from stress. We also strengthen our immune system which copes with bacteria and viruses better.

You should enjoy a sexual intercourse at least twice a week. We emit large amounts of serotonine and endorphine. As a result we have better mood, we feel relaxed and relieved. Your heart beats twice as fast, tension is increased, blood reaches to the smallest capillary. The research proved that people who have sex 2 or 3 times a week are less susceptible to heart attack. We shouldn't forget that sex is also a good slimming exercise, you can burn even 200 kcal during a single intercourse.

Number 3

3 minutes of pure relax ensure good mood, we should remember that stress increases the blood pressure and results in increasing the amount of 'bad' cholesterol. It is advisable to learn how to relax, even at work. You can breath in through the nose and release air through the mouth several times. It's a quick way of massaging of inner organs, which influences blood supply, facilitates digesting and helps to relax.
3 minutes should be spent on brushing teeth after each meal. Neglected teeth are problematic not only estethically but also can cause diseases of heart or joints. Bacteria gathered on plaque can get into the blood and trigger infections which destroy joints and cause heart disease.

Numbers 60 - 90

60-90 mg/dl is an ideal amount of sugar in blood measured in the morning. If you notice any higher results you should consult a doctor as it may mean development of diabetes. Swings of glucose in blood can be regulated by diet, reduce the amount of consumed sweets and exercise regularly. If it doesn't help, you should consult a doctor.

Number 1

You should use dental floss at least once a day as teeth brushing is not enough in terms of removing food remnants. It is a good habitat for bacteria and a source of teeth decay. Our gums are at risk of being attacked by bacteria or parodontosis. That is why we should use dental floss before brushing teeth in the evening.
