Advantages of fish and their oils are enormous. They have so many pluses that it's good to know them to be healthy, slim and beautiful.






According to the research we still don't eat enough fish, people are still more willing to eat meat than these swimming source of vitamins and minerals. Fish is equally good source of protein as meat. Although there are many benefits of eating fish we still decide to buy them far too rarely. There are several reasons for which it's good to get used to eating fish.

Low-calorie produce

Most fish (some e.g. mackerel, herring, eel contain more calories than the rest) are low-calorie products that is why it's good to implement them in any kind of diet. We should remember though that the type of preparation, such as deep frying, applying coating made of bread cramps can effect in increasing the calorie-intake. Dietitians suggest to steam or grill them instead. Fish, similarly to meat, are a perfect source of proteins but they contain less fat than meat. That is why people who want to loose several kilos are advised to switch from fish to meat.

Omega 3 acids

Fish contain unsaturated fatty acids which play important role in the organism. Omega 3 fatty acids belong to the group of unsaturated fatty acids which means that they are crucial for proper functioning of our organism. What do the omega 3 do? The 60 percent of our mind is made of fatty acids. It turns out that in countries where fish consumption is high the ratio of people suffering from depression or dementia is much lower than in countries where fish are rare visitors on plates. That is because fish have enormous influence on our nervous system, apart from their antidepressant properties they also enhance concentration and remembering. Fatty acids also have abilities to act like antithrombotic and antiatherogenic drugs, if you implement fish into your diet, the risk of getting many diseases of the blood circulation system. Above all, people with high cholesterol levels should become convinced about the fish value. On top of that, eating fish reduces the risk of getting blind, asthma and soothes the effects of rheumatoid arthritis.

Vitamins

Fish contain vitamins from group B, e.g. B5 (panthoten) so they fasten wound healing, regulate the metabolism of carbohydrates and fats. B12 (cobalamin) reduces night cramps, prevents from nervous disorders, takes part in synthesis of nucleic acid so it has anti aging properties. Moreover, fish contain vitamins A, D and E. Vitamin A improves skin condition, its color, reduces acne, prevents from getting wrinkles and takes part in the development of the skeletal system, improves the nervous system and soothes inflammation. Vitamin E, on the other side has antioxidant properties which stops the aging process and reduces exhaustion, prevents from getting atheromatosis and miscarriages.

Minerals

Fish are good source of calcium, iron, zinc, phosphorus, magnesium and iodine. Calcium is a basic mineral component of bones and teeth. It is crucial for proper development of bones and appropriate functioning of nervous system. It is responsible for blood coagulation, absorption of B12 vitamin and regulates the heart beat. Iron is a crucial element for red blood cells creation and builds many enzymes. It is also important for proper hair, skin and nail growth. Zinc takes part in metabolism, improves the look of hair and nail. Magnesium and potassium create a combination of moisturizing, firming and nourishing substance. Apart from that, potassium prevents from skin dehydration and acne. Phosphorus, on the other hand, is a component that builds teeth and bones, takes part in many anabolic and cathabolic processes in our organism. The lack of iodine in the organism may lead to creation of thyrocele, it also helps in maintaining our skin, hair and nails in good condition.

As you can see, eating fish is healthy, there are plenty of benefits of fish consumption. It's enough to prepare fish meal twice a week in order to take care of health and live better and longer.
