Medical examinations are performed in children of ages from 0 to 5 years old. Parents should inform a doctor or a nurse about all worrying symptoms they had noticed in their child. During a doctor's visit parents will be informed about all possible changes that may happen or will be warned what to pay attention to.

Caution! Screening examination of hearing

More and more frequently doctors perform screening examination of hearing just after the labor, especially if a baby is premature or if there were cases of poor hearing in the family. It is usually performed between the sixth and ninth month. The screening is quite complicated as it requires cooperation of the child, so if your infant is tired or unwilling to cooperate the test can be a failure or give bad results. That is why parents should be especially sensitive to hearing problems of their child. In case of any doubts they should talk to doctors. It is the parent who is responsible for the whole observation and control over a child, that is why vigilance is important then.
