Description of disease:

Vulvitis is extremely rare as it is usually very immune to infections. If it occurs to happen it is usually caused by the mechanical damage to the vulvar epithelium or reduced immunity infectious factors (due to lack of hygiene). Other causes of vulvitis include obesity as it enables bacterial and fungi infections and hinders appropriate hygiene, vaginal discharge, allergy to washing powders or underwear fabrics, estrogen deficiency e.g. during menopause (increases susceptibility to injuries and infections).
