/ Vaginitis (Inflammation of the Vagina)

Description of disease:
 Vaginitis is an infection or inflammation of the vagina caused by micro-organisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi or protozoons. Other causes include allergy to certain cosmetics, prolonged insertion of a tampon, hormonal swings e.g. menopause. Treatment that is prescribed too late may lead to infertility, erosions, infecting the fetus. The disease demands antibiotic therapy.
