Description of disease:

Uterine leiomyoma is a benign tumor also called a fibroma of the body of the uterus. It is built mainly from the tissue of smooth muscles, the same muscles that form muscular layer of the uterus, digestive tract or vessels. The tumor gets several forms, the causes are unknown but its growth is greatly influenced by high estrogen levels. According to the doctors 20% of all women get uterine leiomyomas.

Symptoms:


anaemia (red blood cell count low)
constipation
frequent urination
inability to get pregnant
low back pain
miscarriage
painful menstruation
painful sexual intercourse
prolonged menstrual cycle
