Description of disease:

Tonsillitis or angina is a disease evoked by group A betahemolytic streptococci, it is acute, systemic infectious disease. It is acute infection of tonsils and mucous membrane in the larynx.

Angina or tonsillitis is considered to be dangerous because of all the complications it may lead to:
- rheumatic disease
- retreopharyngeal abscess
- nasal sinusitis
- mastoiditis
- infectious endocarditis
- meningomyelitis
- glomerulonephritis
- tonsil abscess
- pneumonia
- otitis media

The treatment involves antibiotic course.

Symptoms:


bone pains
catarrh
fever
headache
pain in joints
pharyngitis
sore throat
tiredness, feeling of
vomiting
