/ Restrictive Cardiomyopathy

Description of disease:
 Restrictive Cardiomyopathy is the rarest form of cardiomyopathy, it is marked by the rigidness of the walls of the heart chambers, inability of ventricles to expand and pump blood. At the same time, the heart doesn't change its size or contracitility.
The causes include:
- myocardiofibrosis or scar formation of the endocardium
- inappropriate build-up of scar tissue due to such substances as amyloid
The chambers' rigidness results in venous stasis and pulmonary hemostasis which leads to heart failure to pump blood efficiently.
The treatment concentrates on symptoms observation, avoiding salt and taking diuretics. Sometimes it is essential to take anti thrombotic drugs.
The complications include:
- arrhythmia disorders
- malfunctions of kidneys and liver
- appearance of thrombus
