Description of disease:

Pericarditis is an inflammation of the membrane that surrounds the heart which has got several causes. It is usually associated with the concentration of liquid in the pericardial sac that surrounds the heart.

It is often believed that the etiology of the disease is virus infection, it usually happens during myocarditis.

The complications may lead to primary or secondary conditions.
The causes are divided into:
- infectious
- non-infectious
- idiopatic

Symptoms:


back ache
chest tightness
cough
dyspnea, breathlessness
fever
loss of appetite
tachycardia (rapid beating of the heart)
weight loss
