Description of disease:

Pellagra or Alpine scurvy is condition of nicotine acid amide (vitamin PP) and vitamins B, A, C deficiency. Redness appears on skin areas that are exposed to sun. The treatment involves supplementing diet with rich doses of vitamin PP which belongs to the group of vitamin B. It is found in products rich in protein such as lean meat, liver, poultry, fish, beans, peas, yeast, dried peaches, whole-grain breads, almond and fungi.
