Description of disease:
 Pancreatitis is a disease of the pancreas which develops very quickly. The causes include: alcohol abuse (50% of the cases), gastrolithiasis (30% of cases), and other conditions such as injuries, certain medications, viral diseases, scorpio's toxin.
People with the disease require hospitalization. At first, a harsh diet is used, later on, patients are given painkillers and diastolic medications. Kidney and respiratory system functions need to be controlled as well as other activities of the organism. Some types of pancreatitis have to be treated surgically. Unfortunately, in some cases the disease cannot be cured or controlled and a patient dies.
