Description of disease:

Otitis externa is an ear infection that is caused by bacteria (herpes virus) or fungus. People who swim or shower a lot and clean ears are most susceptible to this disease since frequent cleaning destroys skin tissue.
The treatment sometimes involves only cleaning ear with warm water that can be done only by the doctor or medical practitioner. In case of heavy pain doctors prescribe ear drops. People with diabetes and diseases associated with weak immunity should take antibiotics to cure the disease.
