/ Lymphoblastica Leukemia

Description of disease:
 Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is a disease affecting children aged 3-5. It is characterized by the production of abnormal lymphocytes unable to fight infections. 66% of cases are successfully treated.
Acute lymphoblastic leukemia symptoms appear very quickly but sometimes the process lasts for a long time.
The causes of acute lymphoblastic leukemia are unknown but it is believed to be caused by pollution, chemicals, viruses and electric wires in the neighborhood.
If leukemia is diagnosed it is essential to hospitalize the patient. The treatment involves chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Unfortunately, the treatment causes many side effects such as vomiting, hair loss, coordination of movement disorders. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy enable healing the disease, leukemia is in remission and this state is maintained. In some cases, the treatment doesn't work and bone marrow transplant is necessary.
