Description of disease:

Gonorrhea is a common sexually transmitted disease (STD) which is the most frequent cause of female infertility. The cause of gonorrhea is a bacterium which lives in moist and warm surrounding. Gonorrhea spreads from person to person through sexual contact (including oral and anal) and it may also be passed from mother to her child during birth. In women the virus affects the cervix while in men it affects urethra first and then gonorrhea spreads to uterus and uterine tube. It is important for an effective treatment to take full course of antibiotic medication (e.g. pennicillin) and refrain from having sexual intercourse. All sexual partners should also be examined and treated, if necessary. In order to prevent the disease you should use condoms and avoid frequent changes of sexual partners.

abdominal pain
burning
discharge from urethra
edema of the scrotum
fever
frequent urination
painful urination
uterine bleeding not related to menstruation
vaginal discharge
vomiting
