Description of disease:

Furuncle is a hair follicle infection that is caused by staphylococcus bacteria. At first it looks like an ordinary nodule, it changes into a pastule which produces pus. Usually, the furucle opens after several days itself and leaves a small scar when healed.

Furuncles can be multiple or single, other names include:
- furunculosis or Job's syndrome - multiple furuncle
- carbuncle or multiple furuncle - furuncle can be found in one area, they expand and join together (most often around the nape)
