Description of disease:

Farsightedness, lonsightedness or in other words hyperopia is a vision condition in which a patient has got difficulty seeing objects nearby, they are blurred and unclear whereas the objects in the distance are clear (it can be seen in adults read books or magazines by keeping them far from their face). It is a result of the fact that cornea or lens are unevenly curved, so the light isn't focused on retina but behind it. The treatment involves wearing corrective lenses but if the farsightedness remains untreated it can develop into crossed eyes. Especially children are at risk in such circumstances.
