Description of disease:

Endometriosis is the term for the growth of tissue that lines the uterus outside the womb. The disease affects only women, usually between 20 to 40. Endometriosis develops very slowly and gives scant or no symptoms at all. Some women suffer from abdominal pains or irregular menstrual cycles. The disease increases risk of infertility or causes problems getting pregnant.
