Description of disease:

Endometrial Hyperplasia occurs when estrogen outweigh progesterone hormones and cause excessive proliferation of the cells of the endometrium. It is often one of the factors that lead to endometrial carcinoma.
The causes include:
- non-ovulatory menstrual cycles
- experiencing menopause
- post-menopause period
- estrogen overuse
- ovarian tumors producing oestrogen
- hyperadrenalism
- Stein-Levethal syndrome
Endometrial hyperplasia most often affects women before 40.

Symptoms:


heavy menstruational bleeding
irregular menstruational bleeding
