Description of disease:

Dilated cardiomyopathy or congestive disease is a condition in which heart is weakened (in the chamber areas) and enlarged due to the presence of scar tissue instead of the heart muscle. As a result, the heart cannot pump blood efficiently so chambers and vestibules fail to function properly.

The main aims of the treatment are:
- improvement of the quality of life e.g. breathlessness, edemas, tiredness after exercising
- improvement of circulation efficiency
- lowering the risk of death

weakness
weight gain
