Description of disease:
 Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disease which is characterized by the high level of glucose in blood and inability to change sugar, starches and protein into energy.
Type 1 diabetes, also called insulin-dependent diabetes in which cells of the pancreas are reduced and are unable to produce enough amount of insulin. The lack of insulin causes hyperglycemia which can, if chronic, destroy work of many organs, especially eyes, livers, nerves, heart and vessels.
The disease appears during juvenile years, but can also begin in people over 80. The treatment involves a systematic insulin take.
